‘If you’re Erika from Italy and we danced together at the Establishment, I just want to tell you three things,’ his post begins.

‘My first and only dance of the night was with you, nobody was interesting enough. I’m going to sleep thinking of you and why I didn’t as for your number.’

Social media users found the post endearing and many began tagging their friends in the hopes of tracking down ‘Erika from Italy’.

‘Aww this is so sweet, someone find him,’ one person said.

‘Hope you find her! (And she’s single),’ said another.

‘Nobody was interesting enough – you’re more loyal than most guys I know in a long term relationship and you only met her three minutes ago. Well done lad,’ said another,’ another said.

However, one person put a slight dampener on his plan.

‘Erika from Italy? There’s no Erika’s in Italy,’ they joked.
