Versatile veteran actor, Basorge Tariah Jr. has officially launched his record label company, Solid Star Records and unveiled his new signings
The unveiling of the music label and its two fresh acts; Nifty Boy and Bere recently took place in Victoria Island, Lagos with top players in the entertainment industry in attendance.
Nifty Boy, Born Enoch Solomon, a promising young act who hails from Kaduna is armed with a compelling youthful voice as Nifty is a creative song writer and gifted producer. They are both adventurous as they experiment with different genres of music including R&B, afro-pop and dancehall.
At the unveiling, both musical greenhorns entertained guests with brilliant performances that culminated in accolades from the audience.
Speaking to Showtime Bonus on why he chose the name, ‘Solid Star’ for his record label, since there is already an established music act with the same name as his stage name, Basorge noted that the name had been legally registered as a limited liability company for over a decade, even before Solidstar the artiste wrote and released his debut single.
“Solidstar Records has been in existence for over a decade, we didn’t start just yesterday. My partner and I are out to make stars; solid stars. Not just in music but in other genres of the entertainment sector”, he noted.
Expressing his expectations from the budding signees, Basorge boasted of how he had already set high standard for them.
“I expect them to do very well by emulating the likes of Wizkid and Davido; that’s the standard I set for them. I told them to emulate stars and make good hits. These stars have confidence in themselves and they deliver, so they should try to reach and as well surpass them in all their doings. There are other great talents out there, so I expect my boys to make a career for themselves and also make a living.
I expect them to be good, humble and work hard. They should know people expect good behavior and work tirelessly to attain that”, he said.
