She’s staying at a mysterious hotel in Lake Tahoe that descends into chaos after seven strangers book a room for the night.

And Dakota Johnson isn’t taking any chances as she wields a gun after the madness begins, as seen in a new trailer for the upcoming thriller, Bad Times At The El Royale.

The actress, 28, stars opposite Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, Jon Hamm, Lewis Pullman, Cailee Spaeny, Cynthia Erivo, and Nick Offerman in the movie, which follows seven strangers and their horrific night at the El Royale hotel.

All starts off well in the trailer, after the guests all check into the hotel which straddles the California and Nevada border.

The presence of Father Daniel Flynn (Bridges) rattles the hotel check-in(played by Pullman), who tells him, ‘This is not a place for a priest, Father. You shouldn’t be here.’ 

At night, Billy Lee (Hemsworth) wanders around the lobby before turning on the juke box. 

‘It’s a little too quiet in here,’ he remarks, ‘It gives me the willies.’

But things begin to take a horrific turn after Daniel realizes he is being monitored. 

‘You watch me?’ he asks. 

‘I only watch who they tell me to watch,’ replies the man, who appears to be the hotel check-in.

‘Who’s they?’ Daniel demands.

‘Management.’ 

Later, Daniel confesses to Darlene Sweet (played by Cynthia Erivo) that he is no priest as she pulls out a gun.

Meanwhile, Billy appears to have ulterior motives for staying at the hotel.

Billy appears to have a confrontation with a guest named Emily Summerspring (Dakota), and asks her, ‘You think you can just take what’s mine and  I wouldn’t come a hunting?’

‘No I figured you would,’ Dakota replies as the scene shows her grabbing a pistol. ‘But I’d be ready when you did.’   

The film, written and directed by Drew Goddard, is set for release on October 5.
