ASABA—DELTA State House of Assembly aspirant in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Mr Rister Agbabumeze, on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, has urged Nigerian youths to engage themselves in more productive ventures and contribute meaningfully to nation building.
Agbabumeze spoke during the general assembly and sensitisation rally in Ogwashi-Uku, headquarters of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State.
In a statement, he commended President Mohammadu Buhari for signing the not too young run bill into law, adding that “it will enable youths in the country to participate actively in politics.”
He called on the entire members of the party in the local government area to be dedicated and faithful to ideals of the party, saying: “When we are united we will be able to take the party to greater heights.”
Congratulating Mr Adams Oshiomhole on his election as national chairman of the APC, he expressed optimism that Oshiomhole will bring his wealth of experience to bear in the performance of his duties and move the party forward.
Agbabumueze, who has created jobs opportunities for many unemployed in the country, said “My journey into politics is to enable me give my people quality representation in the State House of Assembly.
“Politics in my opinion is attract dividends of democracy to your area and carry your people along in governance. I will give the youths the needed support if I am elected as the next member of the State House of Assembly from Aniocha South,” he added.
