A 12-year-old school girl is missing after failing to turn up at her friends house last night.

Her family raised the alarm at 11pm last night and police have launched a desperate search for the schoolgirl.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: ‘Croleigh Palmer left her home close to the town centre and it was thought that she may have been travelling to an address in Hailsham.

Croleigh is Asian, 5’6″ and average build with long dark brown hair. She is thought to be wearing a black skirt, pink blouse, yellow shoes and a black puffa jacket with pink stripes and grey hoops as seen in the photograph.

Police added: ‘Her disappearance is very out of character and given her age, there are concerns for her safety and welfare.’
