YENAGOA—THE row between two Niger Delta militant groups, Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders, NDRC, and 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience, fighting over the WO1 Izon Ebi appellation,  has worsened,  with NDRC warning the latter to refrain from further use of the designation.

NDRC, in a  response to Vanguard inquiry on the controversy, said: “The NDRC and the so-called 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience have nothing in common and we are fighting for a just cause. The NDRC holds nothing against the 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta.

“We urge whoever is using that name to be very careful and desist from using it, as what must be done must be done to whoever uses the name unlawfully.

“Since there is no copyright law to the effect that the name WO1 Izon-Ebi is the sole name of the spokesman of NDRC, we cannot say that the 21st Century Youths of the Niger Delta are impersonating by using the name W01 Izon-Ebi. But to clear the air, the name W01 Izon-Ebi is originally the name of the spokesman of NDRC.”
