Prison gang brandish their weapons before starting hellish riot that saw five inmates BEHEADED and another three burned to death in Paraguay

This is the chilling moment members of a ruthless South American prison gang brandish their arsenal of knives before a clash with rival inmates that saw five people beheaded. 

Three more convicts were burned to death and another suffered fatal gunshot wounds during the confrontation in San Pedro de Ycuamandyyu jail, Paraguay.

The brawl broke out between thugs from the Primer Comando Capital (PCC), Brazil’s largest criminal network, and the Clan Rotela which is spearheaded by notorious drug baron Armando Javier Rotela.

And the weapons used to carry out the cold-blooded killings are laid bare in a video which shows PCC gangsters flaunting them before a camera.

The felons then start bashing their blades together in unison to hype themselves up before clashing with the rival gang. 

Officials from the Interior Ministry confirmed the scrap happened took place and that nine inmates were killed and a further 12 injured.  

Members of both gangs were killed in the brutal confrontation, according to local media reports.

Victor Valbuena, head of police in the area, said that some of the inmates had guns, making it difficult for officers to seige the compound to keep the peace.

He added that officers had requested air support to restore peace after several hours of confrontation. 

The scrap reportedly flared-up due to a long-running drug smuggling feud between the two gangs. 

The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that the Director of the prison Wilfrido Quintana and the Director of Prison Institutes Blas Martinez have both lost their jobs in the aftermath.  

The investigation is ongoing.
