Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State on Tuesday protested at the party’s secretariat, over the disqualification of Uba Sani, a senatorial aspirant for the Kaduna Central Senatorial zone, by the NWC.
The protesters blocked the major road leading to the party’s secretariat shortly after Uba Sani was disqualified just before the primary.
Following the development, however, the primary was suspended till further notice.
The aggrieved members accused the Adams Oshiomole-led national working committee of deliberately attempting to manipulate the process to give way for an automatic ticket to the current senator representing the Kaduna Central zone, Shehu Sani.
Uba Sani served as the political adviser to governor Nasir El-Rufai before he made known his intention to contest for the Senate.
