Sir Rod Stewart faces being sued by a US security guard who claims he was assaulted by the singer.
Jessie Dixon, 33, is said to be in discussions with lawyers following a supposed New Year’s Eve clash in a Florida hotel.
The alleged incident occurred on December 31 at about 11pm at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach.
It supposedly started when Sir Rod and his party were denied access to a private event at a children’s area of the hotel.

Meanwhile, the singer’s son, Sean Stewart, has claimed Mr Dixon was ‘aggressive’ during the incident.
Police said Sir Rod, 75, was caught on hotel security cameras as he allegedly punched Mr Dixon in the torso, while Mr Stewart, 39, was apparently seen pushing Mr Dixon backwards.
Sir Rod is to appear in court next month to face a charge of simple battery.
However it emerged yesterday Mr Dixon was also pursuing a civil case for damages.
Attorney Gawayne Kelly told The Scottish Sun on Sunday: ‘We are going to come from a civil point of view. There’s a criminal case which we’re not involved in.’
