Roger Federer was cheered on by his wife and children ahead of his first round match on the second day of Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The Swiss tennis ace, 37, is playing South Africa’s Lloyd George Harris at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

He was supported by his twin girls Myla Rose, and Charlene Riva, nine – but his sons Leo and Lennart, five, appeared unimpressed as their father took to Centre Court.

Leaning against the railings with their hands on their face, it took one hug from their doting big sister to make them break into a smile.

Meanwhile, the athlete’s wife Mirka, 41, donned a smart white suit to watch her husband battle for a place in the next round of the prestigious competition.

Mirka, who is spotted cheering her husband on, accessorised with a silver over-the-shoulder bag and wore her hair loose which fell below her shoulders.

Clutching a bottle of water to keep her cool in the summer temperature, she added a pair of pink-tinted sunglasses to complete her outfit.

The identical twins girls both wore matching denim jackets with white t-shirts underneath, while the boys looked cool in a white and blue polo neck top and cap with their initials on.

The family are close friends of the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, who was also in attendance earlier today, and were both guests at Kate and younger sister Pippa’s weddings.

Roger has previously told how they shared their first kiss on the last day of the Olympics.

Earlier this year, Roger paid an emotional tribute to his wife. as he spoke during a prize ceremony at the Miami Open.

‘I’d also like to thank my team who are also unbelievable,’ he said. ‘They are fantastic people, they are the back rock of the foundation of letting me still play at this level.

‘I’d like to thank my wife who enjoys all the travelling, the packing, the helping, just the support. Without her, it would not be possible.’
