Texas waive WR Miller
Wide receiver Braxton Miller was waived Friday by the Houston Texans, according to multiple reports.
The Texans took Miller in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. A former quarterback at Ohio State, the 25-year-old Miller has struggled in his pro career.
In two seasons, Miller appeared in 21 games (nine starts), while being limited by injuries. He caught 34 passes for 261 yards with two touchdowns.
Earlier this month, Texans coach Bill O’Brien told the Houston Chronicle that Miller was in a “real battle at that position” and that injuries were an issue for him.
“Braxton’s done some good things,” O’Brien said. “I think the thing with Braxton is always going to be health, staying healthy.”
