It is no news that Boko Haram has been dealt heavy blows of late by the Nigerian army. It is relieving seeing that our lands are being gradually weeded of the scourge of terrorism as many lands previously conquered by the horror sect have been liberated by the gallant army. Yet although the dreaded sect are clearly losing the battle, the ammunition of the army has not really inflicted much wounds on the minds of the terrorist as they still hold very lofty ambitions.

 

In a new video by the Boko Haram, suspected members of the sect had announced they were making plan to capture our president Muhammadu Buhari.

 

The footage, which was narrated in Hausa, is alleged to have been shot in some remote areas of Borno State, northeast Nigeria where it is believed the sect nourishes its base. The video shows suspected terrorists holding prayers what the narrator describes as Eid ground on Sallah day Monday.

 

The video which was posted on YouTube Tuesday had the group trying to reaffirm its reputation as a strong force.

 

The terrorists have officially be relieved of a good number of territories that previously were in their control as the Nigerian military maintains its dedicated campaign against the Boko Haram terrorists.

 

Although there was no sight of their leader Shekau in the video, the narrator declared his deputy ( yet there was no mention of his name) had deputized for Shekau at the gathering.
The sect termed Mr. Buhari an infidel ambitiously threatening to capture him.

 

“This is our eid prayer from us and by the support of our leader Imam Abubakar Al-Shekau. We are extending our greetings to our people and fighters.

 

“Message to the infidels and the leader of the entire infidels (kafir) who is the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, that he should know we are very strong and doing very good.
“By the will of Allah under the leadership of our leader (Shekau) will capture Buhari with our hands,” the group said.

 

Yet this could only be scare tactics, Boko Haram is no longer the force they use to be as they have been heavily dilapidated by the onslaught of the army. The capture of the president of our nation are just whispers of drunkiness escaping throats drying from fear.
