You remember just a day ago we reported abduction of four landlords around Lekki Gardens Estate, located at the Isheri North area of Lagos State. And now the kidnappers have named their price. This one for sure is no easy ask as the kidnappers are asking for a N300m ransom for each of the landlords to gain back his freedom!
According to reports we gathered, the kidnappers had gotten across to family members of their victims yesterday to register their demand. They also lodged threats of harming the landlords should the family members not fulfill the stipulated conditions.
We had already reported how the heavily armed gang had shot without caution into the air prior to carting away with their victims in a speedboat, taking them to a destination yet to be ascertained.
News gathered from a community source confirmed that the kidnappers had reached out to families of the victims asking for ransom.
He said, “They have made contact and they asked for N300m for each of the victims. They said they would communicate where they would drop the money. But we all know that the demand is unrealistic. Where do they expect the families to get N1.2bn from?
This is one big question the kidnappers should answer. Where in this economy can that money spring from? Why would you want to harvest N300 million from one landlord, does he have an oil well in his bedroom? Our security forces should bring these culprits quickly to justice and know water your fortunes illicitly with another man's sweat!
