It is so shocking what makes the news these days. Very crazy things happening in our society that questions humanity's place as kings of creation. Shocking animalistic horrors perpetrated in our communities that tend to emphasizes the need to build bigger psychiatric hospitals. As humans sentenced reason behind bars of carnal lust.

This was the situation in India when a woman along with her and her 14-year-old cousin were brutally gang raped for just eating beef.

Narrating her sad ordeals, the 20-year-old bemoaned that four men had attacked her and her young cousin in northern India on the grounds of accusation of her being a Muslim who was bold enough to eat the meat which according to her rapists was a violation of Hindu custom.

In Hindu tradition, cows are revered as sacred hence a ban endorsed by the state forbids their consumption as meat.

The woman explaining to BBC: "They said that we ate cow meat and that is why we were being disgraced.

“They even threatened to kill me and my family if we ever told anybody what happened to us.”

Even at the beginning of September, reports were floating all around that the police in the area were holding inspection of dishes of mutton biryani as to confirm they didn't have beef in it.

Yet even upon the violation of a supposed state rule, rape would never be condoned within the law least as a mob explanation for justice. People taking the law into their hands on the disguise of being the domestic arms of the law is not acceptable. Should an activity be prescribed illegal, it is the strict monopoly of security forces to enforce what the law legitimately spells as due punishment.
